What was the problem?
Natural Resources Wales asked us to help with a pollution incident at a lake in the Brecon Beacons, Mid Wales.
With the help of some local farmers and the park warden we spent the day removing millions of polystyrene beads from the shoreline where the predominant winds had blown it. There were lots of large pieces, but also lots of tiny individual balls where it had broken up.
It’s fantastic to be able to get our kit out into these wild areas and make a huge difference… all in a days work. We couldn’t do it without local support
